Our data policy
Reflecting the requirements of new EU legislation, the general data protection regulation (’GDPR’), which are being incorporated into UK law in a new data protection act; Achievement Specialists has updated its personal data and privacy policy. Here is a brief summary of the contents of the new policy.
Using your data
This policy shows the categories of personal data held by Achievement Specialists and how we process it. This data reflects the information provided by members and consumers, such as contact, works and home details but may also include other information, such as correspondence between a member/consumer and other members/consumers and Achievement Specialists. This data is used by Achievement Specialists to provide services to members/consumers to keep them informed of important information relating to services, products and coaching.
We will not share your data with anyone for any purposes other than coaching or mentoring. The same applies to contractors used by Achievement Specialists to provide technical support in maintaining and developing our databases.
Achievement Specialists also uses the services of members to administer and service the members’ area and also to deliver coaching and mentoring, the member will be given selected members’ contact details to enable them to administer the coaching and mentoring.
Our rights and your rights
The updated policy sets out the legal basis on which Achievement Specialists processes your data: this refers to our obligations to you under the terms of your membership to the member area and also our duties and responsibilities arising under rules and regulations applicable.
This policy describes the rights that you have in relation to your personal data held by Achievement Specialists. These include accessing your data to ensure it is accurate and, if not, requesting changes and notifying us of any restrictions you wish to make in relation to our use of your data, or even requesting it is removed altogether.
Security of data
Cyber-attacks are becoming more widespread and complex, maintaining secure systems and processes is a key organisational challenge and Achievement Specialists takes its responsibilities in this regard very seriously. The measures we have in place to protect your data, include the use of encryption technologies, password-protected access and risk assessments. We also have a process to follow in the event of a data breach. This approach is supported by on-going awareness and training programmes for Achievement Specialists staff to ensure the relevant security policies and protocols are observed.
