This is a self-paced 30 day programme covering health, nutrition, fitness and belief change activities inspired by Cancer Free For 20 years. This download programme has been specifically designed with you in mind, that is, if you have been diagnosed with cancer, you want to increase your chances of survival and you are prepared to do something about it.
On this 30 day programme you will discover suggestions, examples and ideas based on my experience with turning a terminal illness into a happy healthy balanced life style. In 1992 I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast and lymphatic cancer and given nine months to live. Now, this is pretty negative news in anyone’s books. At first, I was stunned into paralysis. The situation was overwhelming and I did not know what to do. Slowly, once I had taken my situation on board and faced up to the implications of it, I was able to talk to support groups.
Once I had started finding out about the subject I became fascinated and did more and more research and talked to many different people. Within this download I have also drawn upon my years of running a successful life coaching and coach training organisation to offer extra insights and activities to accelerate your progress.
Remember, I cannot make the changes for you. I provide the tools and information – to get the maximum benefit from the download you will have to take action and make changes to your life style and start to live a healthy life. I know this might sound like a big task when you are not feeling great and that is why I have designed this program in SMALL STEP BY TINY STEP actions so if you don’t feel up to doing anything one day you can leave it for a day when you feel energised.
The first 5 days you explore what health means to you now. You do this because cancer can change your thoughts and feelings towards health. It is important to fully explore what health looks like, feels like and means to you now your life has changed. You will explore the 4 Ps belief change tool to get you thinking differently about health. You will be shown how to create positive beliefs about your health and recovery.
More small steps
You will then consider what nutrition means by looking at your previous and current food intake – you are what you eat. Followed by your current liquid intake – how do you keep hydrated and the healing power of water. You will create your own food intake plan.
I know that for some of you physical exercise is not possible at the moment, so we look for alternatives to standard fitness routines. Doing things you like to do. I know you may have lots of negative thoughts about life and your body so we spend some time looking at the mental Impact of cancer and what to do about it. You will consider your thoughts about self and body. I show you a powerful model, the Self-talk Cycle – what you saying to yourself is what you will manifest.
Spiritual health is important to recovery, so we will look at what does spiritualism mean to you? We consider gratitude, peacefulness and relaxation. Linked with this is your emotional well-being and how relationships can be killing you or healing you and what to do about this.
Final steps
You will create a plan to take you forward after the 30 day program is finished. How you can maintain and develop your recovery plan.
